Six Rivers is an organization dedicated to helping people live less stressful lives. We work with Federal, State and Local grants to train mediators and resolve a variety of disputes. Whether you are on the verge of losing your home through foreclosure, dissolving a marriage, or not ever getting a good night’s sleep because your neighbor works the night shift as a drummer in a garage band.
Anyone can start a good argument. It’s fun – sometimes. It’s sad – sometimes. It is drama – Every Time.
Resolving conflicts is about getting all the right people together to talk. It’s about helping people listen to what is motivating….the other side. It’s about reality checks. About identifying what is most valuable in your life, developing a strategy to get it, and implementing that strategy in cooperation with your opponent.
- Conflict engagement is easy.
- Avoidance is a little more complicated.
- True collaboration that includes forgiveness, resolution and trustworthy planning, is complex and nuanced.
Six Rivers is a “Dispute Resolution Center”, where people turn to work out complex conflicts. We mediate, coach, facilitate and we inspire people to talk. We are privileged to have been in business for 10 years, and we learn something new every day.
Join us for a free workshop to learn more about dispute resolution sometime. We practice every third Tuesday during the lunch hour. Sessions are held at the MCCOG /One Stop Center in Hood River located at 205 Wasco Loop, Suite 101.
